Effective date: 12 October 2026
Workout Prep helps you plan your workouts and get ready for them. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.
What Workout Prep collects
Nothing. Workout Prep does not collect any data about you or your training. Nothing you enter in the app is sent to the developer.
Workout Prep has no account and no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code (SDKs) of any kind. The app makes no network request of its own.
Who receives your data
No one. Workout Prep does not share your data with any third party, including any third-party AI service. Because nothing is collected or shared, there is no third party that needs to protect it.
Your preparation briefs
Prep briefs (hydration, stretching and nutrition suggestions) are generated on your device by Apple's on-device language model, which is part of iOS.
- What the model is given: the workout type, whether it usually happens indoors or outdoors, how long it lasts, the hour it starts and the eating pattern you chose in Settings.
- What it is not given: your notes, your packing items or anything else from your calendar.
- If the on-device model isn't available, the app builds the brief from its own built-in rules, also on your device.
No brief, and nothing used to make one, is sent anywhere.
Your planned sessions and your Calendar
Workout Prep asks for access to your calendar so it can save your sessions and read them back.
- Where they are saved: each session is an event in your device's default calendar, or, if that calendar can't be changed, in another calendar on your device that can.
- What an event holds: the workout type as its title, the start and end time, any note you add, and a link that lets Workout Prep recognise its own events.
- What the app reads: it reads events in your calendars and uses only the ones it created. It ignores everything else.
- How events sync: your Calendar syncs them only through that calendar's own account (for example iCloud or Google), if that calendar syncs at all. That is your account, not the developer's. Workout Prep never sends your sessions to the developer.
What else stays on your device
Workout Prep keeps these on your iPhone:
- Settings: your eating pattern, your reminder choices and a few small app preferences.
- Session details and packing lists: each session's workout type and its packing list, including any items you add, and any items you keep as defaults for a workout type.
- Widget summary: a small file that the app's widgets read to show your next session, its brief and its bag.
Reminders before a session are notifications scheduled on your device. The Live Activity and the widgets are drawn from data on your device. No push server is involved.
If you use Workout Prep with Siri or Shortcuts, it answers from the same data on your device and sends nothing to the developer.
Like other app data, this information may be included in backups of your device that you make, for example with iCloud Backup or on your computer.
How long data is kept, and how to delete it
Data is kept on your device until you delete it. The developer holds none of your app data, so there is nothing to request from the developer.
- A session: deleting it in Workout Prep removes its calendar event, its details and its packing list. Packing items you kept as defaults for a workout type stay for that type's next session.
- Everything in the app: deleting Workout Prep removes its settings, session details, packing lists and widget summary from your device.
- Calendar events: sessions saved to your Calendar stay there after you delete the app, until you delete them in Calendar like any other event.
How to withdraw permission
You can turn off Workout Prep's access at any time:
- Calendar: in the iOS Settings app, go to Privacy & Security › Calendars › Workout Prep.
- Notifications: Workout Prep asks for permission to send reminders the first time you save a session while reminders are on. You can turn notifications off at any time in the iOS Settings app under Apps › Workout Prep › Notifications, or turn off Remind me before a session in Workout Prep's own Settings.
Emails to support
When you email kfirapps.support@gmail.com for help, the developer receives your email address and your message through the email provider. They are used only to reply to you and to keep a record of your request, and are kept for as long as that is useful. You can ask for them to be deleted by emailing again. They are not sold, and are not shared with anyone other than the email provider that delivers the message.
Children
Workout Prep does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect any.
The Workout Prep website
The website where this policy is published sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may process technical data, such as a visitor's IP address, when a page is loaded, under GitHub's own privacy statement. The app itself never contacts the website.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here and in the app, with a new effective date.
